Introducing Project Solstice

Solstice is a smooth, powerful and compact desktop amplifier with some very cool features. There is not a single tube amplifier on the market (besides ours) with this wide of a feature set that is even close in price to Solstice. In short, Solstice is a unique, high value amplifier that will suite even the most demanding tube lover, allowing countless tubes to be rolled with virtually no effort

Key Features of Solstice:

• Compact footprint at just 5 x 5.5" fits most any desktop space with ease. Solstice is dedicated headphone amplifier

• Tube rollers DREAM. Just like our other designs, Solstice can accept a vast qty of tubes. Solstice also features full Auto-Bias just like our Flagship amplifier - Project Ember! Drop a tube in and she will set things up quickly without having to fiddle with dialing in tube bias. The only thing you have to select is tube heater voltage when changing from 6v or 12v tubes which is a quick and painless process

• Cannot stand the "no volume range)" syndrome that many amplifiers suffer from? This is a hated problem in which you barely have any volume range before it becomes too loud when using efficient headphones. Solstice features a quick change attenuation module that can be changed out and tweaked for higher efficiency headphones that do not require as much power - giving usable range on the volpot

• Solstice has outstanding power for the price point with a wide power band and power where it matters, especially with planar magnetic headphones. With over 1W available into lower impedance cans, and usable power to 600 ohm.

• Solstice has 3 output impedance settings. Select from .1, 31 and 68R which can easily be adjusted to provide synergy with your current headphone inventory

• Love current hungry tubes like the 6n6p or 6n30P? No problem! Solstice features a beastly heater power supply delivering over 1A+ of heater current without breaking a sweat

• UNIQUE FEATURE: Solstice is equipped with a jumper setup that we call OHV. Not "overhead valve" as all you car nuts will figure... It stands for Optional Heater Voltage. This setting can be customized to allow either 7V heater output OR a true 12V heater output. This allows the use of super affordable 12sn7 tubes! Do not change or adjust this setting unless you have a full understanding of its function which is outlined in the manual

The OHV feature is turned off by default. The reason is that if you pull a bonehead move and change things around without reading instructions or understanding what it does, you can kill a tube in an ugly flash of light. This feature is for experienced tube junkies

To summarize what Solstice has to offer:

• Auto bias. Simply plug in a tube from a long list of 6 & 12V dual triodes and it will bias itself
• Bias continuously adjusts itself so ageing of a tube is constantly corrected, within limits of course
• Manual heater voltage selection. Easy to adjust between 6 and 12v tubes by changing a jumper
• Startup protection circuit with thermal shutdown
• Advanced cooling design to keep temps nice and low
• Three output resistance settings from 0.1, 31 and 68 Ohm
• Easy to change Input Attenuation Module for tweaking usable volpot range

• Awesome choice for headphones from 32-600 Ohm but can also drive 16 Ohm headphones
